If you guys recall a few of my older posts about making gold, I have been making some serious gold lately. I’m a Tailor/Enchanter, and have played the AH for my money or run raids. I don’t farm.

In less than a month, I’ve made over 18,000 gold

That’s a lot of freaking gold. As soon as I hit 20k gold, I got to thinking, what can I do with all this gold? I don’t really have alts that need epic flight training, I’m not into buying expensive pets or other random items, and my professions are already pretty high up.

So I ran to the mount vendor in Dalaran, and instead of Shift-Clicking the mount in guild chat, I right clicked it. Now, you would think there would be some sort of confirmation box or something to confirm that you wanted to purchase the single-most expensive item currently available in the game, but there wasn’t one. In a split second, I was down 16k gold (at least I was Exalted with the Kirin Tor!). I submitted a ticket for a refund, and was denied:

“Unfortunately, we are unable to fulfill your request at this time. Though our goal is to resolve every issue as requested, certain actions are beyond the scope of the Game Master Department. We regret any inconvenience you may have been caused.”

I’m not one to get angry at video games often, so to be honest, its a pretty cool mount to have. I can repair and vendor crap while mounted and moving around (since the mounts run with me), and I can dismiss the travelling vendors whenever I want to free up a seat for people.

I’ve heard the mount has some cool advantages for raids, since it has a repair guy on it, I’d imagine its useful for raids wiping a lot on Malygos (you can mount in EoE), or in Obsidian Sanctum (but who wipes in there unless you are trying it with drakes up), and outside of Naxx if there aren’t people Blast Waving people off the edge.

Althogh the item is pretty cool, I wish I got some of the gold back from people using my vendors/repair guy. The prices for the reagents on the mount are quite expensive, since you don’t get any discount for reputation, since the vendors aren’t associated with any faction.

Anyways, that’s my post for today, nothing else new from my last post, other than my server, Stormscale, was buggy as hell yesterday, the AH was broken for awhile, people got stuck in instances, etc.

I hope today will be better, I have a Naxx25 full clear tonight and better get my T7.5 helm. Wish me luck!
