Ulduar Hard Modes

I just wrote a new post over at Ulduar25.com — Finding Time to do Ulduar Hard Modes.  It’s basically just me asking which is more important — downing new hard modes or killing Yogg and previously downed hard modes weekly.  Or how to find a balance.

Input from you guys would be great — so please check it out!

My guild seems to be divided about this same issue, while some of us realy want to clear the full place, including Algalon, rest thinks we already have done that, and want just to rush through the place as fast as they can.
I personally prefer new challenges, as much annoying they might be.
But i guess not everyone can stand full raids of wipe just to get a mob down.

Yeah, we had the same issues at the end of 3.0. For me, Sartharion+2 and Sartharion+3 were additional encounters that I considered progression. A good number of people in that guild thought "hard modes are not progression content".

LOL, well, apparently Blizz thought differently, eh? Adding a HM-only boss like Algalon definitely emphasises that Blizz wants us to view hard modes as part of progression.

Don't get me wrong — I'm not an achievement whore (I actually hate the things), but if a boss drops additional and BETTER loot when killing with specific conditions, that qualifies as progression in my book.

Agreed here. I am also not an achievement whore at all, but added loots, an achievement that websites use to rank your guild, plus being able to link them to your friends get me doing raid achievements :P
