Moonkin Crit Damage

WoW has been pretty chill lately.  Nothing much is new, my guild is getting kind of pumped for Ulduar, but I wouldn’t be unhappy if it didn’t drop next week.  I think we could still use another week to pickup some more Sarth25 3D gear, more Naxx tier pieces, and KT loot.  I would also like to grab a few more achievements before Ulduar hits, because getting them AFTER 3.1 is like saying you managed to clear Sunwell after the bosses were nerfed by 30%.  It just isn’t the same.

On a personal note, I do run a few other websites for some spare cash (I have a fulltime job), and I managed to sell one today for a little under $3,000 USD, so I’m pretty happy :) .

Anyways, last week I had a little fun with WoWMatrix, which apart from being the most amazing and useful thing ever to manage your addons, helped me find a few cool other addons.  I added an addon to TitanPanel called CritLine.  What it does is it adds a line on your TitanPanel which shows both your highest regular/critical hit on a target.  It’s a cool number to see, except when you get to Thaddius/Malygos and it really skews your numbers.  You can even set it to take a screenshot and capture each one of your crit records, which is what I did, and I have 4 screenshots below.

This is a short post, but it should be fun.  If you have cool crit screenshots, please send me them and I will put them up on my WoW Screenshots page. Below are 4 that I just added to my page; they look pretty cool, I had a 16k+ crit on Grobbulous, and a 35k+ crit on Thaddius.  Fun stuff.

I was just thinking about whether or not to bother with a Moonkin set for dual specs…but damn, those crits are juicy. Do want in 3.1!

Do crits on the spell-mob from the druid epic flight questline count? *grin*

Anyway, congrats on the website! And I agree, I’m very much hoping that it will drop *next* week and not tomorrow. *crosses her feathers with you!*

Ever try Quartz for your cast bar? it’s 100x better than the blizz bar, and it shows you when you can que your next spell based on your latency to eek out that MAX DPS. =) It’s an add-on I can’t live without.

    @ Balaroo –

I actually tried it out, but removed it, partially because I was too lazy to fiddle with it 100%. The version I downloaded simply changed too many things for me to deal with it, I like addons that change just 1 thing at a time.

If you have a profile with your settings you could send over, I would love to try it out, but the Quartz pack I have has like 10 other addons that change way too many things for me.

I’m totally with you on wowmatrix! If I want to see if there’s an addon that does what I want, I don’t even have to know the name of it. I wanted an addon that took a screenshot when I got an achievement, and all I did was search for achievement and they were all listed. :)

Curse and Wowinterface have apparently teamed up to block wowmatrix though, which makes me a sad sad laser chicken. I love my addons, and have about 80 or so, and I have no idea how to update them all with some of them being blocked from wowmatrix. T_T

Anyways, best of luck in Ulduar!!

Wow! So with 3.1 here, I played around for a bit. My Starfire crits are at 15.5k, so I’m catching up, rawr! Are you noticing a massive DPS increase in this patch? It’s probably in large part due to the changes to Nature’s Grace (though I also spec’ed out of Typhoon/Gale Winds and into IFF, so maybe that had an impact as well).

Anyways, good luck with the new content. I hope to start Ulduar-10 this weekend and use the meantime to work towards my silver hippogryph. :)

    @ Cerista –

Oh. Interesting about an Achievement screenshot addon. I like putting up ss’s on here, even though I don’t think *that* many people actually look at them (less than 1k views on that page, I believe).

I didn’t know that a lot weren’t compatible with Curse and WoWInterface. That’s annoying, so I’ll probably be using only WoWMatrix for addons then, its simply amazing.

    @ Xiera –

Yeah. I also picked up iFF, and it seems as though my DPS has increased substantially (tough to tell because we are only going to be working on Ulduar this week). It seems that on some of the Ulduar trash, I had NG up like 90% of the time. The buff to Lightweave Embroidery is probably also affecting my DPS nicely, as well.

I’m pumped to see if I can sustain 6k+ on Patchwerk, whenever we end up doing Naxx next.

    ON A SIDE NOTE –

I haven’t gotten any cool crit screenshots. Anyone? :(
