If you’re reading this page, you must be at the very least interested about the writer behind this blog. I’m 20 years old, and have been playing a balance druid since March 2008. I levelled as feral, tried out raiding as resto, until I eventually stuck with balance as my main spec.
I have a full-time job and am about to return to school in the Fall, trying to get a degree in Business Administration. I run websites for fun and supplemental income, which explains some of the advertisements you may see around this blog; I apologize if they are in-the-way or advertise services that you may not agree with (ie – gold selling).
Moonkin.info launched in October 2008, and has rapidly grown to a huge website, receiving thousands of unique visitors on a daily basis. This blog has come a long way from where I wasn’t sure if people were reading what I was writing, to a great place to throw around ideas, discuss talents, gear, rotation, etc.
I ran a guild of my own (<iRaid>) for about 6 months until I decided that raid leading and being a GM was not really my calling and I wasn’t enjoying the game as much as I should be. I recently transferred off of Stormscale onto Illidan, and have been raiding with Warpath, crushing hard modes, Algalon, and other difficult encounters.
Apart from my heavy raiding schedule, I enjoy making gold off the AH and my professions. With the recent server transfer, I had to revamp the way I used to make gold; Stormscale was a low-medium population server, while Illidan is listed as FULL. You can find me spamming Trade chat as an enchanter LFW or downing bosses. I PvP once in awhile, but Moonkin PvP is not at its best.
At any rate, stick around. I love receiving comments and try and reply to each and every one. The pages on the sidebar contain what I consider to be must-read moonkin information summarized by topic, and you should definitely make use of my search box on the sidebar. If you don’t see an answer to your question, I definitely recommend contacting me, via the form on the sidebar.

You asked about a timer for Eclipse to help you notice when it procs/how long it lasts. I would recommend SquawkAndAwe for this which is a customizable and movable set of bars that tracks all of your DoTs and your Eclipse procs. I have since downloaded Squawk and Awe and am never looking back at how I used to raid.
Definitely a must-have for any raiding moonkin that uses Eclipse, and its so customizable.

You guys gonna call me lazy-kin but how can I customize Squawk and Awe… I just dont want that bar with GC and all my bars are in the middle of the screen kinda unpractical… Thanks.

Would you be so good and change the blue color in articles? It is very hard to read/recognized on black backgroud. (I must to use mouse and invert it to legible form). It is only little note for great moonkinblog, thank you. April C.

Yeah I'm hardcore raiding as well – we have Twin Valks down, yeah — its an easy fight once the soakers perfect their, well, soaking.
Seems to be about limiting deaths and making sure everyone is doing their job properly. 1 soaker death usually = wipe.
Fun fight though, you rockin' out some DPS on it?
not really cause i'm out there soaking up the black orbs, while all the other ranged cept another lock is doing the black orbs on the other side……also i'm rated like 35th in my guild on wow-heroes lol, but i rock the deeps as affliction on yogg?
and i'm mainly demo for the raid buff so yeah, worst dps spec ftw?
but yeah it's def fun, we just have 3 or so soakers that FAIL and we had no one to replace them last night, hopefully we will have some non scrubs tonight and drops those hoe's lol

Agree with you Mac. Based on rotation, there was a point if forgot about eclipse cooldown which I tend to take advantage of to refresh my dots. Squawk and Awe is a MUST have in my opinion. Overcasting too many times to proc the *less than mighty* WRATH eclipse by accident because I thought there was a buffer zone.
